Pugly Bakes a Cake Page 3
Maddy started giggling when she saw her. “Come here, naughty little Clemmy,” she said. And Clem RACED over and jumped up next to me on Maddy’s knee and began purring like mad while we all watched The Great British Bake Off.
The Evil Squirrel
Hi. My name’s Josh. How are you? I’m great. I just ate forty-seven nuts. They were brilliant! Best nuts I’ve ever had. Extra nutty. The nice cat gave them to me. I think her name’s Clementine. She’s lovely. Not like that pug. He’s mean. He always barks at me. And chases me away. This time I wasn’t even doing anything. I was just WATCHING, for nuts’ sake. There’s no law against it. I don’t understand why he hates me so much. I mean, what did I ever do to him?!
